Thrown away the night before, a newborn child lay motionless on the filthy sidewalk. Hungry street dogs attacked this tiny, defenseless, infant boy in the night. Intestines exposed, his ravaged remains lay in clear sight of passersby in the morning. Agnes was one of those passersby and wept,
“God, please help me to rescue the suffering babies of Uganda.”

This horrific sight is not at all unusual. Commonly, unwanted babies are thrown alive into trash dumpsters and pit toilets. In a country decimated by Aids, wars, and extreme poverty, innocent children suffer intensely.
